Sea/Brem: Kitsap Transit P.O. Vessel Fare Redemption In Seattle -Update
Customers traveling on the passenger-only vessel who wish to pay with
cash or credit card must secure a ticket at the Pier 52 tollbooth or
kiosk prior to boarding the vessel at Pier 50. Those passengers with
WSF monthly pass or multi-ride card or an ORCA monthly pass may pay
directly at Pier 50. ORCA e-purse may be redeemed directly at Pier 50
for thepassenger type associated to the card.
Sea/Brem - Service Changes for theweek of Dec. 10-14 - Update
Due to repair needs on three vessels, ferry service on the
Seattle/Bremerton route will be reduced for the week of Dec. 10-14.
Seattle/Bremerton: The 124-car Kitsap and the 64-car Salish will
provide service supported by Kitsap Transit's passenger only ferry,
RichPassage 1 which carries 118 people. This PO ferry will provide two
extra sailings during the morning and evening commutes. Theslower
Salish carries 750 passengers and requires a longer transit so the
12:20 p.m. sailing from Bremerton and the 1:30 p.m. sailing from
Seattle will be canceledthis week . The Kitsap Transit PO Ferry sails
from Pier 50 in Seattle and the passenger ferry terminal in Bremerton.
PO sailings will be 6:20 a.m. and 7:55 a.m. from Seattle, 5:35 a.m.
and 7:12 a.m. from Bremerton. Evening PO sailings will be 5:07 p.m.
and 6:43 p.m. from Seattle and 4:25 p.m. and 5:55 p.m. from Bremerton.

Sea/BI - Signal Testing Near BI Terminal During Evening Commute, Wed. Dec. 12
WSDOT/WSF will test modifications to the traffic signals at Harborview
Drive and Winslow Way on Wednesday, Dec. 12. This will affect the
following sailings from Seattle: 3:45 p.m., 4:40 p.m., and 5:30 p.m.
Testing will involve extending the signal green time at both the
Harborview Drive and Winslow Way intersections for the first three
minutes of vessel offloading. Customers should anticipate traffic
delays in the areanear the terminal as these sailings arrive in
Bainbridge at 4:20 p.m., 5:10 p.m. and 6:05 p.m.
Beginning Monday through Friday, December 3 to December 14, the north
entrance lane and tollbooth atFauntleroy will be closed due to the
Barton Pump Station Upgrade project. WSF recommends purchasing tickets
online or at kiosks as pre-ticketed vehicles will be directed around
the booths as needed to fill the dock and vessels.Please plan ahead
and expect possible delays.
Vashon Island will be experiencing low tides from December 10 through
December 16 between 7:30p.m. and 1:45 a.m. Vehicles with less than 14
inches of clearance from the ground to the undercarriage of the
vehicle should not travel during these times. Check web site for your
day of travel.
Port Townsend Terminal construction on Slip 1 began on Monday, Nov.
12. The ferry will be using Slip 2 for several months, which is
narrow. We will be single-lane loading and offloading, and holding
lane staging will be adjusted to enable large trucks to drive straight
onto the vessel at Slip 2. Drivers and pedestrians are advised to use
caution when loadingand offloading and to watch for construction
equipment while on thedock. Truck traffic will be limited oneach
sailing. Reservations for vehicles more than 30 feet in length or more
than 7 feet 6 inchesin height are highly recommended for the duration
of this project. Tallspaces for drive-up or standby traffic will also
be limited.
