OLYMPIA – Aviation groups from around the state will gather in Olympia next week to host the 2015 Airport Awareness Day. The event is intended to inform legislators, legislative staff, committee staff and the Governor's staff about current statewide aviation system issues, initiatives and challenges.
The event will take place 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, in conference rooms A, B and C of the John A. Cherberg Building on the Capitol Campus. Representatives from the Washington State Department of Transportation will be on hand to answer questions and provide information on the current Airport Investment Solutions Study.
Now in its third year, Airport Awareness Day highlights the importance of airports to Washington's transportation system, economy and quality of life.
Airport Awareness Day is hosted by the Washington Airport Management Association and Washington Community Airports Association with support from:
