Daly, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that JERMAINE JENKINS, 34, formerly of Newington, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Michael P. Shea in Hartford to 72 months of imprisonment, followed by four years of supervised release, for his role in a cocaine trafficking ring. Brown of the Southern District of Alabama announces that Charlie Lewis Davis of Mobile was sentenced, following an October 2014 guilty plea to a charge of being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm. Davis was previously convicted in Baldwin County of Manslaughter and Possession of Marijuana, First Degree in 2005. By virtue of these convictions, Davis is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition. Brown of the Southern District of Alabama announces that Kenneth Jerome Wade, Jr. of Mobile was sentenced, following an October 2014 guilty plea to a charge of being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm. Wade was previously convicted of Theft of Property, Second Degree, in Pike County in 2004; and, Possession of Forged Instrument, Second Degree, in Mobile County in 2004. By virtue of these convictions, Wade is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition.
