Flammable cargo prohibited on I-5 under convention center Tuesday
SEATTLE - Flammable cargo will be prohibited from traveling in both directions of Interstate 5 under the Washington State Convention Center from 4 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3.
During that time, contractors for the convention center will be relocating a water line that feeds the Washington State Department of Transportation's freeway fire suppression system.
Drivers needing to transport flammable materials under the convention center must use alternate routes such as Interstate 405.
In the Seattle area, drivers can get real-time traffic information on their phone with the WSDOT traffic app, tracking the WSDOT traffic Twitter feed, and get advanced information from the What's Happening Now page.
