We have been alerted to suspicious activity for a listing you recently inquired about. We are letting you know because our first priority is your safety.

The listing you inquired about - Studio, 475 sqft, $575 at 702 6th Street N #2, Saint Petersburg, FL 33701 - has been removed from HotPads because we suspect it was fraudulent.

We urge you to cease any and all contact with the individual, especially if you've been asked for personal information such as a credit card or social security number. In the future, please also be aware of extremely low priced apartments as scam artists typically use this tactic to attract unsuspecting victims.

If the listing agent is unable to meet you at the house, or if it sounds like they are trying to rent to you from overseas then you may be dealing with a scammer. As a reminder, you should NEVER wire money or disclose your personal financial information in order to secure a lease without meeting the landlord / property manager in a safe, public place.
