We goofed. And you called us on it.
Mount Washington Observatory’s 2014 Annual Meeting is coming up on June 14 and we would love to have you there with us. In error, we had communicated to our members that our Annual Meeting was a ticketed event. Please know that the 2014 Annual Meeting is and always will be free to our members and supporters; we sincerely apologize for this matter of miscommunication.
As a nonprofit organization, our original intent was to recover the cost of the event by selling tickets for the speaking program and refreshments. However, after further review and after hearing from several of our loyal members, we have decided to throw the doors open and keep the entire event free. We sincerely thank you for your feedback.
We hope you will join us on Saturday, June 14 at the Mount Washington Observatory Weather Discovery Center in downtown North Conway! Members and non-members alike will have the opportunity to meet Observatory staff and trustees, interact with our mountaintop crew through a live video connection, and enjoy a recap of our exciting and eventful fiscal year 2014.
Following my update, guests are invited to enjoy "The History of the Mount Washington Carriage Road and Glen House Hotel," a fantastic presentation offered by Trustee and Mt. Washington Auto Road General Manager Howie Wemyss.
