FDOT Inspector General Clears Greenlight Pinellas

 

On June 2nd, the Florida Department of Transportation's Inspector General issued a report stating that Greenlight Pinellas was in full compliance with state law on public communications. The report showed there was no evidence that Greenlight Pinellas violated any law, or used any state funding.

On June 3rd, the Pinellas County Commission voted 6-1 to zero out the PSTA portion of Pinellas homeowners' property taxes. Eliminating the 0.735 mill property tax will save homeowners $32 million per year in advance of the Greenlight Pinellas plan's 1% sales tax increase.
