REMINDER to bus riders in Fremont, Newark, and Union City:

The AC Transit Board of Directors is considering new Title VI policies to ensure full and equitable distribution of its bus service and to ensure all members of the public can participate in the decision-making process. Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin in any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance. The proposed policies are presented in five languages on the AC Transit Public Hearings web page.

A series of four community meetings will be held between May 29 and June 5, followed by a public hearing on June 11. See locations, dates, and times below, and get full information in the website article. Your participation and input are encouraged.
