Subject: Freight Advisory - I-5 Silverlake Weigh Station Closed

The Interstate 5 Silver Lake Weigh Station south of Everett at mile post 188 is closed until sometime next year.

While the ramp to the weigh station will be closed, the ramp to the car portion of the rest area will remain open, but is off-limits to freight haulers.

The Washington State Department of Transportation has added signs leading up to the weigh station notifying commercial vehicles of the closure.

Crews working for the Washington State Patrol will demolish the existing weigh station and construct a new facility.
