The Department of Health has informed WSF that on Friday, Apr. 4, a
person with a confirmed case of measles was a walk-on passenger on the
6:20 a.m. departure from Bainbridge Island to Seattle. Passengers in
the Bainbridge Island terminal between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 8:20
a.m. or the Seattle terminal between the hours of 6:45 a.m. and 9:15
a.m. may have been exposed to the measles. Passengers traveling on the
ferry TACOMA on the 6:20 a.m. and 7:55 a.m. departures from BI and the
7:05 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. departures from Seattle may have been exposed
to the measles. The Department of Health is recommending that anyone
that may have been exposed should find out if they've been vaccinated
for measles or if they've already had measles. People who have not
been vaccinated, or aren't sure if they're immune, and develop an
illness with fever and unexplained rash should consult a health care
professional.
