We have 49km of trails open: 37km ski trails are snowcat groomed with
trackset and
skating lanes. Surface is packed powder (our most recent snowfall was 6"
this past Sunday-Monday). Our compacted base averages 5 - 8" with 8 -
13" in the woods. Only the second and third hills on the double
diamond expert
Karhu trail are closed (total 1km). The rest of Karhu including
the first hill
is open. Our 12km dedicated snowshoe trail network

Forecast: Scattered flurries are expected today, cloudy with a high of 7.
Friday is expected to be partly sunny with a high of 9. There is
a chance of
snow late Friday night into Saturday with a preliminary estimates of 1
- 4" possible,
a daytime high of 23 Saturday. Snow showers are likely Saturday
night and Sunday
with light accumulations possible. More accumulating snow is in our

Saturday, January 25 - Lapland Ladies Love to Ski!
A special program designed for women, taught by women. From 9:30am - 2:30pm
beginner and intermediate level female skiers, grouped by
ability, will receive
instruction in classic ski technique, enjoy lunch with an
equipment & clothing
discussion, participate in a social group ski and enjoy a group
wrap up with
hot beverage at the end of the day. The program is led by
Lapland Lake's
PSIA-certified instructors Susan Henriksson and Jan Mares. Cost
for the five-hour
program is $40 including facility use pass, lunch and discount coupons for
equipment. Cost of rental equipment, if needed, is $15 for
this program
only. To ensure space, please pre-register.

-Saturdays are Finn-tastic at Lapland Lake! Delight in a perfect day of skiing,
