A SLOW-MOVING LINE OF RAIN SHOWERS CONTINUES TO PRODUCE PERIODS OF
MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN ACROSS MUCH OF THE ANCHORAGE BOWL. ADDITIONAL
RAINFALL MAY CAUSE SOME LOCALIZED AREAS OF PONDING WATER OR MINOR
FLOODING... ESPECIALLY IN LOW-LYING AREAS ALONG CHESTER CREEK. SHOWERS
ARE EXPECTED TO MOVE EASTWARD AND DIMINISH BY LATER THIS EVENING.

OBSERVED SEISMIC ACTIVITY INDICATES THAT VENIAMINOF VOLCANO CONTINUES
TO ERUPT WITH MINOR ASH EMISSIONS. WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO TRANSPORT THE
ASH TO THE NORTHEAST... WHICH COULD RESULT IN SOME VERY LIGHT ASHFALL
NORTHEAST OF THE VOLCANO ALONG THE ALEUTIAN RANGE TO PORT HEIDEN
THROUGH LATE TONIGHT.

THIS STATEMENT WILL BE UPDATED AT 100 AM AKDT THURSDAY OR SOONER IF
CONDITIONS WARRANT.
