THE ANCHORAGE BOWL AND MAT-SU VALLEY. COLD TEMPERATURES HAVE COMBINED
WITH LEFTOVER MOISTURE FROM YESTERDAYS SNOWFALL TO RESULT IN LOCALIZED
ICY CONDITIONS... INCLUDING ALONG THE GLENN AND SEWARD HIGHWAYS.
DRIVERS SHOULD USE EXTRA CAUTION THROUGH MID MORNING UNTIL
TEMPERATURES ARE ABLE TO RISE TO ABOVE FREEZING.
STRONG WIND TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON ALONG TURNAGAIN ARM
AND HIGHER ELEVATIONS...
Today... Mostly sunny. Areas of locally dense fog during the
morning...mainly along knik arm. Increasing clouds late afternoon.
Highs in the mid 40s to lower 50s. North to west wind 10 mph becoming
variable 10 mph in the afternoon. Along turnagain arm and higher
elevations...winds becoming southeast 10 to 20 mph in the afternoon.
Tonight... Becoming cloudy in the evening with rain likely after
midnight. Lows around 40. North to east wind to 10 mph. Along
turnagain arm and higher elevations...southeast wind 15 to 30 mph
increasing to 40 to 50 mph after midnight.
