Wide loads prohibited on southbound Interstate 5 at Guide Meridian (milepost 256) from 9 p.m. Monday, June 17 until 5 a.m. Tuesday, June 18. Drivers carrying loads wider than 8'6'' must take the Meridian Street exit, #256 to McLeod Road, and stay in the right lane on McLeod. At the traffic signal, haulers should continue straight across Guide Meridian onto the southbound I-5 on-ramp. The wide load restriction is necessary while crews grind and pave the distressed asphalt on the Guide Meridian overcrossing.
