Subject: Ferry Alert: Faunt/Va/So - Klahowya Running 15 to 20 Minutes

The 87-car Klahowya is running 15 to 20 minutes behind schedule. To
preserve maine life in the Puget Sound and in complience of United
States Navy waterways speed limit, we are operating it at speeds that
do not allow it to make up for any unforeseen delays on the
Fauntleroy/Vashon/Southworth route's tight schedule, and it is often
not able to keep the published sailing schedule. The sailings that
have been frequently running the latest are: the 1:40 p.m. from
Fauntleroy to Vashon, the 2:05 p.m. from Vashon to Southworth, the
3:30 p.m. from Vashon to Southworth, the 3:50 p.m. Southworth to
Fauntleroy, and the 4:20 p.m. from Fauntleroy to Southworth. Due to
the busy peak season, we have no backup vessels to replace the
Klahowya.
