AVALANCHE WATCH

The following message is transmitted at the request of the Colorado avalanche Information Center.
Avalanche watch for the Park Range, Flat Top Mountains, Elk Mountains, Ruby Range, West Elk Mountains, Grand Mesa. The second in a series of strong Winter Storms will affect the mountains of Western Colorado Monday into Tuesday. Intense snowfall and drifting snow are possible during the storm. During periods of heavy snowfall spontaneous and triggered avalanches become likely. Avalanche conditions could become very dangerours and travel in or below terrain is not recommended. If the winter storm progresses as forecast updates shall follow at www.colorado.gov/avalanche
