Today we offer ourFinn Friday Snowshoe Trek, Saturday our
Lapland Lake Ladies'
Clinic and SundayFischer's Demo Day. Dinner service is available
tonight and
Saturday at our Tuulen Tupa Grill. Details below.

Conditions are very good to excellent! We received 4" of
new snow yesterday and last night (and 2" Wednesday). 47km of trails
are open: 35km are snowcat groomed with trackset
and skating
lanes and 12km are open for snowshoeing. Surface is powder
and packed
powder. Our compacted base is 9 - 12" with 16 - 20" in our woods. The
only portion of the system closed is the 3km
loop directly
on Woods Lake due to unsafe ice.
Our forecast is just perfect - don't miss this weekend!
Scattered snow
showers are possible today with a high of 30.
Saturday
is expected to be mostly sunny with a high in the mid 20's and Sunday
cloudy with snow showers and highs in the low 30's.

Facilities are open midweek 10am - 4:30pm and weekends 9am - 4:30pm. Both
junior tubing hills are ready and waiting for all the kids and
the young-at-heart!
Our Tuulen Tupa Grill and rental and retail
shops are open;
lessons are available. Our pond is closed due to unsafe ice, so
ice-skating
is unavailable at this time.

New this season! Private wax lessons are available to help skiers of every
ability learn to care for their waxless and waxable skis, classic and skate
techniques. Your gear will be much more fun to use when it is
properly maintained.
Advance reservations are required for these lessons. Cost is $45 for a
full hour; $25 for each additional person. Then, if you like, Olavi will assist
in your purchase of a customized wax kit tailored to your needs.

Friday, January 4
Finn Friday Snowshoe Trek! Join us on a lovely guided snowshoe
trek on Lapland
Lake's scenic snowshoe trails. This gently paced tour takes approximately
one hour and is free of charge. Rentals, if needed, are
offered at half-price;
facility use fee is additional. Reservations are not required, but we do
recommend checking our online snow condition report for
updated information
that may be posted in regard to the treks. Work up an appetite
for a warming
lunch at our Tuulen Tupa Grill (lunch is additional).
Friday, January 4
Friday Dinner Service 5pm - 7pm (final seating). Reservations appreciated.
Saturday, January 5
Lapland Ladies Love to Ski! A special program designed for
women, taught by
women. From 9:30am - 2:30pm beginner and intermediate level female skiers,
grouped by ability, will receive instruction in classic ski
technique, enjoy
lunch with an equipment & clothing discussion, participate in a
social group
ski and enjoy a group wrap up with hot beverage at the end of the day. The
program is led by Lapland Lake's PSIA-certified instructors Sherry Dixon,
Susan Henriksson and Jan Mares. Cost for the five-hour
program is $40
including facility use pass, lunch and discount coupons for
clothing and equipment.
Cost of rental equipment, if needed, is $15 for this program
only. To ensure
space, please pre-register.
Saturday, January 5
Saturdays are Finn-tastic at Lapland Lake! Delight in a perfect day of skiing,
snowshoeing, tubing and ice-skating. Linger longer for a
wonderful Saturday
evening meal including
Finnish dinner specialties. Reservations are advised and appreciated; dinner is
served beginning at 5:00pm with a final seating at 7:00pm.
Sunday, January 6
Fischer Demo Day! Come meet with the knowledgeable rep from Fischer skis. Free
ski and boot demos from back country to recreational to racing gear.
9:30am - 3pm.
