THE SFC RIDGE OVER THE EASTERN PORTIONS OF THE ALOHA STATE ISTRYING TO
SLOWLY PUSH NORTHWARD THROUGH TUESDAY WHILE THE TROUGH ALOFT TO THE
WEST WILL LIFT OUT TO THE NE. ARRIVAL OF ANOTHER FRONTAL BOUNDARY FROM
THE NORTHWEST DURING THE WEEKEND.
PACIFIC NORTHWEST
THE CHEHALIS RIVER IS FORECAST TO TOUCH FLOOD STAGE ALONG SOME REACHES
SO A FLOOD WATCH IS NOW IN EFFECT FOR THE THREE AFFECTED COUNTIES. THE
SKOKOMISH RIVER WILL FALL SLIGHTLY TODAY THEN RISESOMEWHAT TUESDAY IN
RESPONSE TO THE RAIN TONIGHT. IT WILL REMAIN ABOVE FLOOD STAGE THROUGH
WEDNESDAY AT LEAST. RAIN TONIGHT COULD BE ENOUGH TO FLOOD THOSE
RIVERS. GREAT BASIN PRECIPITABLE WATER INCREASING TO 0.44 AND K-INDEX
UPTO 24 AS INDICATED BY THE 12Z NAM ALL POINT TO KEEPING A SLIGHT
CHANCE OF SHOWERS OVER SOUTHWEST FRONTAL SYSTEM APPROACHING. IN THE
MISSISSIPPI WATERSHED DESPITE MORE CLOUDS TEMPS SHOULD BE A TOUCH
WARMER WITH THE MIXING BUMP UP PRECIPITATION CHANCES WITH THE FRONT
STILL APPEAR RATHER LIMITED BUT
A MORE POTENT AND COLDER SYSTEM FOR EARLY NEXT WEEK.
