County Fire, and several fire agencies throughout San BernardinoCounty
responded, taking immediate, aggressive and decisive actions to battle
the blaze. The fireis currently 5% contained and full containment is
expected by 6:00 pm on November 6.
Anticipating the hot, dry, and windyweather early this week, the US

engines from northern CA forests to supplement fire coverage in

Incident Overview
The Devore Fire began at 10:55 am on Monday November 5th adjacent to
the northbound Interstate 15 freeway between the Kenwood and Cleghorn

steep rocky terrain.
The fire burnt in a south southeast direction along the northbound
Interstate 15 freeway, prompting fire and law enforcement officials to
close the northbound Interstate 15 freeway to all traffic. The winds
pushed embers across Interstate 15and started a 30 acre spot fire on
the west side of the freeway, whichforced officials to also close the
southbound Interstate 15. The fire burned approximately 350 acres
before firefighters were able to stop the forward progression of
thefire.
During the course of the firefight, three residences in the Mathews
Ranch were evacuated and no damage was reported at the ranch.
The US Forest Service was is in unified command with Cal Fire, San
Bernardino County Fire, and the SanBernardino Sheriff Department until
