 PUYALLUP – Drivers who use the northbound State Route 167 Puyallup River Bridge (Meridian) are encouraged to plan ahead for delays. From 7 p.m. Thursday, June 25 to 5:30 a.m. Friday, June 26, drivers will encounter alternating right and left lane closures on the northbound SR 167 Puyallup River Bridge. Over the weekend, motorists can expect a full closure of the northbound bridge.
Full weekend closure To connect the roadway to the new bridge, crews will close all northbound lanes across the bridge from 8 p.m. Friday, June 26, to 5 a.m. Monday, June 29. During the closure, northbound drivers will follow a signed detour via State Route 512 and State Route 167.
All southbound lanes will remain open.
When the northbound lanes reopen, motorists will be driving across a new northbound bridge that will replace the 1925 steel truss bridge in use at present.
