Since 2010, NRCS has helped ranchers across the West to conserve sage grouse habitat on 4.4 million acres of land, an area of working lands twice the size of Yellowstone National Park.

Their stories provide a true testament to not only what's possible when we all pull together, but what the likely outcome will be.

This week, we're celebrating the unprecedented success achieved over the past five years through the Sage Grouse Initiative's new publication, "Success on the Range," which highlights conservation heroes and their tremendous accomplishments for the at-risk species. SGI perfectly illustrates how wildlife and agriculture can not only coexist, but thrive in harmony.

Since 2010, NRCS has enabled ranchers across the West to conserve sage grouse habitat on 4.4 million acres of land. While these numbers are indeed important, they do not share the real story. This new publication highlights the people and partnerships behind the numbers that truly matter.
